Tips for a  Successful Middle School Experience

Before School Starts

• Come to Orientation in August

• Join our Parent Info Zoom Meetings

• Make sure to update your address so that you get all the information over the summer

• Complete your Elective Request Form and submit it to the Front Office

• Check out our Vernon Middle School Website. It’s full of useful information!

Once the Year Starts

• Get connected by joining after school clubs or sports
• Listen to morning announcements
• Register for School Loop and check it daily

At Home

• Have a quiet study space to do your homework
• Set a study time for homework, reading or iReady
• Get to bed early and wake up early
